Collected from the fruit of a large Pawpaw orchard, containing most of the commercially available cultivars of Pawpaw, as well as many unreleased cultivars, and a large collection of Pawpaw trees from all over their natural range; these seeds have a wide genetic diversity, and a good chance of growing into trees with superior fruit. This is a sampler of Pawpaw genetics!

They are carefully hand cleaned and sorted to remove defective ones, then kept under moist refrigeration. This process is called "stratification". They will start germinating two or three weeks after you receive them, if you provide them with a warm, moist medium. Complete growing instructions are included with your seeds.

We ship these Fresh Pawpaw Seeds in damp sphagnum, since they must not be allowed to dry out. There are about 250 seeds in a pound.
