Pawpaw
seed are exacting as to the conditions they require for storage
and germination. If the moisture, temperature and air conditions
are not just right, they may either be slow to sprout, or might
not come up at all. We have sprouted these seed for you. This unique
product, Germinated Pawpaw Seed, gives you a big head start in growing
your Pawpaw trees, compared to starting them from seed. You will

These
Pawpaw seeds have been stratified and then transferred to germinating
flats. As they sprout, we pick them out and plant them in containers,
or ship them to our customers, carefully packed with the roots in
damp sphagnum peat moss, ready for planting outdoors or in your
containers. Your trees will be advanced in their growth according
to the time of year, as you can see from the pictures below. |
The sprouts
on Germinated Pawpaw Seeds, shown on the left, below, are fragile,
so please unpack and plant them carefully. The more mature Baby
Pawpaw Trees are sturdy and easier to handle. Either grow them in
containers now and plant them in the ground next Fall before they
go dormant, or plant them out in the ground now. Either way they
will require your care and attention, including partial shade for
their first year. |
